This was just a lovely, lovely wedding for a lovely, lovely couple. Rachel and Matt (and their little guy Jack) live in St. Louis, so I actually didn’t get a chance to meet them in person until two days before their Vail wedding this August, when we met to take some casual engagement photos in Morrison. These two are funny, laid back, and plain awesome. Their wedding was no different. When Rachel told me their intimate ceremony was before sunset on the Vail wedding deck, I did a real happy dance. People: if you want amazing light at your wedding, get married 60-90 minutes before sunset!!! And I did another happy dance when a torrential downpour that temporarily shut down the gondola moved through just in time for the beautiful light to come out for their mountaintop ceremony. So yummy.
