the sims clan {family}

Since Dan and I arrived in Colombia, we have been lucky enough to get to know a whole lot of great people and also some fellow foreigners through our school community. The Sims-Clark family have quickly become some of our favorite Canadians!

There is Rob, our fearless school director who is unabashedly fluent in our favorite language of all…sarcasm. Cindy is one of our ahhmazing school counselors who shares my adoration of boots and strong cocktails. And Caeleigh and Maiya are quite possibly the coolest pair of sisters I’ve ever met. They are worldly old souls. And they are WAAAY cooler and more confident than I ever even tried to be when I was their age. Seriously. Caeleigh is also one of my students, but I’m beginning to think I should just give up and hand my classes over to her. She could teach us all a thing or two.

I think what I adore most about this family besides their warmth and wicked sense of humor is their obvious closeness and pure affection for one another. They are more proof for the cynics that happy, genuine, loving families exist and thrive.

I had so many favorites from this day that it was really hard to narrow it down.
